The first part of this book features Bargoed station and the junction of the Rhymney Railway with the Brecon and Merthyr to the north.
As the line climbs out of the Darran Valley the photographs well illustrate the isolated halts which existed on a bleak part of the Heads of the Valleys

@forestpines There are a few but probably not more than about 5-10% TBH. Those that are there are actually quite interesting. More from GWR days but mainly post 1948 BR. Some interesting Dowlais Iron Company locos.
