So we went to the immigration office and didn't meet with the advocate who was supposed to be there. Could not reach him on the phone. Finally called our agent who called him and found out the immigration office had just canceled all yellow slip appointments for the day because they were "too busy" and he was trying to fix it

Sat around in 35C for a fucking hour not hearing anything. Called our agent again and they found out the advocate had just fucking up and left without even telling us to go home. Damn near got heatstroke cause we were masked and didn't have water to drink even if we weren't

This appointment took us two months to get. The solution to this is to travel to the capital instead which would cost 300 euros in cab fare and 4 hours. We would have to do this (at least) twice. I fucking hate Cyprus

@HauntedOwlbear @eniko Correct me if I am wrong isn't Cyprus "a bit of a strange situation" where 1/2 of it is EU and 1/2 not ?

Northern Cyprus has no legal status, so no, that's not an issue in this case.

The Republic of Cyprus, however, which is in the EU, has a civil service that couldn't find its arse with an atlas and both hands.
