Asking for #suggestions about #moth #killer #UK #spray or anything else if anyone has anything to recommend / had experience.
- that possibly has little to no smell ( if possible )
- that can be safely been sprayed in a room/closed/bags ( i.e. does not kill the humans in it too ! )
- that is good
I know there are plenty but if someone 'has experience' anything to recommend thanks in advance !
[edit] 'moth' I mean 'that insect that eats the wool' .
@gilesgoat
Besides the mothballs still used around here.
When I was growing up we used camphor.
Nowadays red cedar oil. It keeps them away.
Note: cats are very efficient too.
@gilesgoat I've got an electric fly swatter. Works amazingly well on moths as they're attracted to the light it emits + it literally obliterates them in an instant, with a satisfying pop.
If you have wool that actually needs rescuing, pop it in a chest freezer. The wool itself doesn't freeze - it has no moisture content to - but it'll kill moths and their eggs.
