Would love to meet the people living in those basement flats on the right, imagine having the nerve to stare down the Wye like this every six months or so
My own photo from today, edited with the VSCO app
this was what I was greeted with when I got down there earlier. I knew it had been raining but had no idea it had flooded

@nuala nice photo, very atmospheric.
@nuala
Looks gorgeous though!
@nuala woah. Looks like you’ve taken that from in a tree.
@Steve haha I didn't think, yes I suppose it does! I took it from a view point in Castle Green park which is already raised up from the river
@nuala So is this tidal flooding helped by all the rain?
@Steve we're too far upstream for tidal flooding here, I think the furthest tidal will get up the Severn (which the Wye joins) is somewhere near Gloucester? In Hereford it's all rain.
@nuala it’s time like this that I bet you wished you had a SUP to pump up and paddle about.
@Steve quick commuting times from Hereford to Monmouth down a fun new route! One way only
@nuala Rubber dinghy rapids!!!
@nuala whoa, that looks pretty flooded

Is that the old hospital?
@nuala I bet there's a very similar scene in Shrewsbury right now too. There's been plenty of rain upstream.
