Are you a baker? If so, I need your help! I'm researching sourdough baking during the COVID lockdowns for my MA and would love you to fill out my survey!

surveymonkey.co.uk/r/N9MHNF9

I'm also looking for people to tell me about their sourdough baking journey (Yes, even yours!), so if you would be interested, please DM me!

I am absolutely blown away by all the responses to this - thank you so much!!! For those of you that reached out - I will be in touch soon!!

@talaith do you want to hear from folks who tried it but basically ended up with stinky gloop everywhere? Cos I have tales to tell.

@talaith
I do wonder if I'm the only person who ended up digitising their #sourdough in quite frankly ridiculous levels of detail using #photogrammetry...

(Cheap scanning rig involving a lazy susan, LED lighting panels, a dSLR with macro lens on a tripod and a whole lot of computer processing. Yes, I'm weird. Have some 3D renders.)

@coprolite9000 @talaith Guess you can get your next bred from the 3D printer now... ?

@rebekka_m @talaith I almost stopped baking bread compeletely during lockdowns to support the local bakeries - does that count as sordough journey?

@talaith Done. Greetings from the person who misses a good Malfabrot.

@talaith

I filled it out. :-) Sounds so cool, I hope you get lots of good responses!

@talaith If you need more input I am happy to talk about baking bread :)

@talaith Es gibt da einen tollen CRE Podcast zum Thema Brot, von metaEbene feat. Ploetzblog

@talaith Interesting observation from the James Webb telescope.

@talaith I love that you're researching and documenting this "cultural moment" from the COVID era. (I filled out the survey.) I know that this type of research can take a long time from data-gathering to a finished product, but I selfishly hope that I'll hear about your finished product when it's fully baked, and be able to read the results.

@talaith done! I'm old school - made my own starter back in 2005 or 2006 in Sri Lanka.
