@yogi0704 If you're happy with Ubuntu it won't be too big a jump. Use the software centre and enable the relevant repositories and you should find you've got access to most (if not all) the things you were comfortable with on ubuntu

@davidoclubb FOSS has become far more normal since I started messing with it in the late 00s. Linux distros have matured a great deal too. It’s exciting. Just need more OEMs preinstalling it.
@davidoclubb I've never tried that one. I'll have to give it a go sometime. I moved to #LinuxMint several years ago and moved my partner's and father-in-law's laptops soon after. Both were amazed how their aging laptops became like brand new again. I often get the impression that the Linux community look down on Mint as something 'just for beginners'. As far as I know, there's nothing you can't do on Mint that you can do with other Debian based distros. I use RedHat at work and that's good too.
