So, say I wanted to move my site away from Wordpress to once again roll my own, is there a good guide for getting started with something more indie? I’m a bit lost now that Netscape Communicator isn’t around. #indieweb
This is really cool --#Neocities https://neocities.org
"Neocities is a social network of 762,400 web sites that are bringing back the lost individual creativity of the web. We offer free static web hosting and tools that allow you to create your own web site."
@gavin57 Not a "guide" but this list of #indieweb-friendly hosting platforms could be useful to you as you research were to go https://shellsharks.com/indieweb#hosting
Edit: maybe this would be useful? https://getblogging.org/

@gavin57 yep yep, here's a masterlist of resources that gets shared around the #SmallWeb tag alot

@gavin57 I am looking for the official #Neocities profile on Mastodon: does not exist?
@relaxmilano I did look myself and couldn't find anything. That's quite disappointing.
It seems the people behind Neocities aren't very visible in general, but I like what they are trying to do.
