Hi, I am Heydon. I am named after the village Heydon in Norfolk but was not conceived there.
I am a web interface designer, frontend dev consultant, and technical writer for design systems. You may have read one of my books or learned algorithmic CSS from https://every-layout.dev. I write, narrate, and soundtrack videos about the web here: https://briefs.video.
I also record antifascist sludge/garage punk/blues/doom metal as Death Garage (https://deathgarage.bandcamp.com/).
I do co-own a six string bass with my brother but quickly learned that it's harder to learn with so I've not touched it in ages :D
I haven't touched a bass in over 12 years and even back then I was garbage. I don't know how to play any instrument.
For my 30th I decided to buy an amp and a cheap bass. It sat unused for 6 months, I had taken maybe an hour or two to play it but not much anyways.
A few days ago I bought Rocksmith, downloaded a few custom tracks to it and I've both played more over the weekend than I've ever before and I'm also not too bad at it either. It's been fun, my fingers are on blisters hah
#introduction Prynhawn! Sami dw i. I'm a 30 year old creative and technological person from Finland. I have ADHD, sleep apnea and a shitty health in general.
I like studying languages, making music, art, programming and generally tinkering with a bit of this and that. I'm a full time student (information systems) and work part time as a consultant.
I'm kinda like a shitty version of the Renaissance man. Pleased to meet you all!
My mate setup a jcore / breakcore / lolicore label and released two of my tunes as well. Check them out! https://rdctd.bandcamp.com/releases
Look for ALBATR55 to find yours truly :)
Maybe a boolean in the YAML liek "processed: no" makes the post gets processed and the boolean gets flipped after that?
Could @email@example.com @MikeRiethmuller@twitter.com @firstname.lastname@example.org or someone maybe help? Ideally, the posts could be made with a CMS and it'd require the user to attach a file and filling out a few fields because the use case is for lesser technically inclined.
Each file would be added to a specific folder, the user would make a new post and fill in some YAML stuff and linking the file. Then when running build, I'd analyze the specific file and generate some json and images with nodejs based on the file and adding it to the post/YAML
Basically, I'd want to use 11ty to process and serve files. The issue I'm having is that all of the files needs to be analyzed once and some metadata needs to be generated for each file, but not every build. Is there some type of process (like incremental builds) that could help
I don't draw a direct parallel between the current heat waves and extreme weather with climate change, but I don't debunk it either. But I have to either start muting posts online or remove myself from the platforms as the (warranted) fear mongering only causes me harm.
If I'm not selfish in this regard, I would only end up being (more of) a burden to society, I have to focus on myself.
