North Dakotans are invited to bring a book and read silently on the public sidewalk outside their local library to show their opposition to Senate Bill 2307, a bill that targets library content. The North Dakota Senate passed the bill in a narrow vote last week, and it now heads to the North Dakota House for a hearing and a floor vote. #RightToReadND ✊✊

#Kunst im Archiv - Seit Aufkommen der PCs erfreut sich ASCII-Art – die Kunst, aus Buchstaben und Satzzeichen Bilder zu gestalten – großer Beliebtheit. Direkter Vorgänger war die sog. Schreibmaschinenkunst, bei der die einzelnen Zeichen mühevoll manuell positioniert werden mussten, um den gewünschten Effekt zu erzielen.
Ein Beispiel dafür ist das Porträt von Otto von #Bismarck in der „Schreibmaschinen-Zeitung“ vom 15. September 1898, das in einer unserer #Akten überliefert ist (HHStAW, 425, 3100)
