Beautiful Earth 🌻🌲🌳🌎<p>A gripe about the US healthcare system. There are times you need to see a doctor but you fall somewhere between waiting two days for an appoiment and a full blown ER visit. You need Urgent Care. I had an anaphylactic reaction to fish a couple of days ago that continued into the next day. I didn’t want to wait for a doctors visit, but I didn’t think it was 911 worthy, so I went to a popular Urgent care center. I was told they didn’t take my insurance, and they gave me a list of urgent care centers I could try. I called the number on the back of my insurance card and was disconnected twice. I stared at the long list of urgent care centers to call and sighed. Did I have TIME to call? I had no idea. Finally I just went to the ER, mostly because I didn’t want to waste two hours finding out which urgent care center took my insurance while my heart pounded, eyes swelled, and I felt nauseous . </p><p>I know this gripe is common and our system is about to get worse. And yes: the doctors will try to boot you from the hospital when you're still seriously ill. BUT the hospital food?
