We're going overseas for today's - this is Al Azhar University, Cairo

Founded in the 970s by the Fatimids, it focused on religion together with logic, rhetoric, and grammar (much like early European universities). In 1961 it added other disciplines, and was formally made a university, although as this card (which is from the early C20) shows, it was called a university long before that
