Found a picture of the abomination on reddit, just look at this.
Slyly shrinking the pack is one thing but doing so AND increasing the price is a blatant poke in the eye.
I'm tempted to put the sheep on Lidl own brand now.
I've been faithful to McVities for so many years now, too. I'm going to have to change my desktop wallpaper.
@llamasoft_ox Could be worse - could be Whiskas, who dropped their pack size to 85g rather than 100g and didn't make any mention of it other than a change to the small mandatory pack weight text. I was worried that our cats were losing weight and/or had worms until somebody else mentioned it. There's profit-seeking and then there's putting your animal customers at risk.
@_thegeoff @llamasoft_ox That’s outrageous. I get that there are issues with supply chains and money and blah blah blah. But don’t fuck with pet food. Glad you spotted it.
@craiggrannell @llamasoft_ox Even if they'd just made it obvious, big "reduced size to save money!" flash sticker, fair enough. But this smacks of "they won't notice, they'll just think the pet needs more food or is ill". Despicable approach for a company that claims to care about animals.
@llamasoft_ox I have one of those keyboards! Not quite as clean as that one.
@llamasoft_ox or at least shrink the monitor to match
@llamasoft_ox Or get a narrower but more expensive monitor.
