I should be going to sort out my breakfast, but no! There are more important things today, like sheep. Here's some of the lovely creatures I saw earlier this year while in Kerry.
@sheepnik I've no idea what the D word Day is that I can't type in now I can't see it! But seems to be people sharing photos of sheep so thought I'd share mine. I often look after the sheep belonging to my friend along the lane and this year she's bought a couple of miniature black sheep we've named Pixie and Elf (she never names her livestock but I insisted!). They adored my black dog and she them. Think they thought she was their Mum!
@Beulah Awww, they're lovely wee creatures!
The D word is defaidodon, which is a play on the Welsh word for sheep, plus the second half of Mastodon. It grew out of some silliness two years ago when a lot of people (including me) were new to Mastodon.
By the way, did you know that you share part of your log-in name with a type of sheep? There's a local breed called the Beulah speckled face! https://www.google.com/search?sca_esv=91f756f8d95b3a2b&q=beulah+speckled+face&udm=2&fbs=AEQNm0CvspUPonaF8UH5s_LBD3JPX4RSeMPt9v8oIaeGMh2T2D1DyqhnuPxLgMgOaYPYX7MiG-tbEmeDr1flaSd96CDNiuNhZ_fvoMN7b1dM65BvKsQvGaV1eeTNaKMqzVcIyVYMRciJTMu_ggD1X3acNFsEJGSHG5GogqNvrPqJpLeVG-HWtWhc8lRTOMUBiYL7Ca672JA0B70gTNqBryOGCNtJWpW9sg&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjQ-biN78mJAxVEWUEAHZbaMqQQtKgLegQIEBAB&biw=1119&bih=535&dpr=1.72
@sheepnik Ah that explains it. I picked up some words of Welsh over the years visiting my Welsh cousins in Wrexham and my son when at uni in Bangor but wasn't one I'd come across! The Beulah sheep look lovely. Beulah is actually the name of my dog so it's quite appropriate that I chose it for her as she's half German Shepherd and seems to have an affinity with sheep! Though she's not quite so keen to be close up to my friend's bigger sheep which are a bit more intimidating lol.
@sheepnik ah. Sheep. Sanity at last after a week of increasing, well y'know.
