Hannah Howe

American television, February 2, 1960. Do you remember any of these films and programmes?

@HannahHowe I was not actually alive in 1960, but I remember "American Bandstand" (which ran through the 1980s), the Huntley-Brinkley Report, and the children's programming (Huckleberry Hound, The Little Rascals, Bozo the Clown, The Three Stooges).

Also, these are the New York City listings; nowhere else in the U.S. had that many channels.

@camicalm @HannahHowe
I was alive but not yet watching, but same.

I remember Red Skelton as a hilarious regular guest on the Jackie Gleason Show, i don't remember his own program.

Also, by reputation & excerpts, "Burns & Allen" was a classic -- and Laugh-In's sign-off
Dan: "Say good night, Dick"
Dick: "Good night Dick"
was a throw-back to George B & Gracie A's classic ending.
But she did NOT always say "Good night Gracie."

Jack Paar was Johnny Carson's Tonight Show before Johnny Carson; i never saw it live, after my bedtime, naturally.

@HannahHowe I remember a few of these shows, mostly in reruns. The Rifleman, Medic, and all the cartoons and many of the movies they’re showing!

@HannahHowe yes, those programs are famiiliar. I watched some. Looks like los angeles channel numbers I knew.
