Remember the ua-fediland.de situation?
Apparently, there are attempts at hijacking another #Ukrainian #Mastodon #instance, this time social.mykolayiv.dcomm.net.ua.
The MO is similar: The #trolls try to establish contact to as many random #Fediverse users as possible and use these contacts to antagonise #Ukraine. The difference this time is that public access to the profiles of all accounts is blocked. This makes trolls easy to detect: If you can't access their profile, block them.
The admin, @InsiderUA, is aware of the situation and taking countermeasures already. However, part of the trolling tactics is to create new accounts and dynamite-fish for contacts when nobody is there to moderate.
Again, I advise against defederating the instance. This exactly is the attackers' goal. Don't give them what they want!
