The latest version of for is now available on the Google Play store. @megalodon has done amazing work to turn the official app into something that makes a joy to use. It just does everything you'd expect a client app to do, with a modern, stylish UI. I no longer have to swap between using an app for some features and the web interface for others. This app is just what Mastodon needed. Do tell any as it will make their transition from a breeze.

@druid @megalodon it's such an amazing social media client.

@nspugh @megalodon Hi Nigel. Not Megalodon unfortunately. I see a lot of people mentioning good things about Metatext though. It might be worth giving that a try.

@druid @megalodon I agree. I wanted an app which would show if there was alt text on an image and megalodon ticks that box and so many more.

@Rueda @megalodon Definitely. Was very odd that such a useful feature was missing in the first place.

@druid @megalodon thanks for this hint. I'm liking the app except I'm missing the ability to flip between local, federated and following which Elk app permits. Am i missing something? It looks like i have to go into settings and change settings to see federated?

@GeoffMitchell @megalodon Hi Geoff. Yes, you'll need to enable the federated timeline by going into the app settings. I've seen quite a few people wondering where the federated timeline so it would probably be good if that was enabled by default.

@druid @megalodon a wish for me would be something like tabs - to flip quickly between local, federated and curated/ those who you follow. But i do like the very clean interface.

@GeoffMitchell @druid been thinking about something like that for a while - let me know if you have any concrete ideas how this could look like!

@megalodon @druid 2 options come to mind. Have the "home" (bottom left) expand with pop up menu for home, local, federated. This would mirror the up/down arrows on the right for account(s). Or create room on header for home (following), local federated. Right now the settings button is on there. It is kind of prime realestate and not some you'd actually want to be opening often. So maybe settings at bottm? my very humble opinions. You've made a very clean and smooth functioning app - thanks!
