I love my little Anbernic RG351V. Such a fantastic little emulation device and cheap as chips, can't fault it really.
@llamasoft_ox
What's the interface like? Is it "My Mum" friendly, or is it "Techy geeky coder knows how to work it"?
@Jayenkai Halfway between the two I'd say. When set up nicely it's a delight, you can choose a system and page through the list of games with a sample video played for each one, really nice. You do need a bit of nous to fettle the raw lists it comes with though.
I love it, it's like a Game Boy with a really nice screen that'll play everything from Atari VCS era up to original Playstation (it starts to grind a bit at N64/DC stuff). Amazing to have such a chunk of gaming history easily to hand.
@llamasoft_ox It does look nice, especially the woodgrain one.
Mum's B/D's next month..
Tempting!
@Jayenkai spot on I'd say, you can curate and fettle a list of her favourites on there, get it set up really nicely, I bet she'd love it :)
@llamasoft_ox I tried getting mine up and running again and found the microsd card appears to be fried, so no roms to emulate.
@jakesimpson The SD cards they come with can be a bit dodgy, best thing when you get one is image the SD cards to your HD then put the image onto known good quality cards and use those.
Reminds me I ought to re-image mine as I've done a fair bit of scraping and setup since I got mine!
@llamasoft_ox too late for me, unfortunately. Mine is just dead. Will buy a new micro sdcard tomorrow though. Someone will have an image out there.
Reminds me of coming to your place in Tadley and bringing boxes of disks with me:)
@llamasoft_ox I have the M version, with it's luuuurvly gunmetal case, plus an RG300 for GameBoy funz.
