I saw someone mentioning Bruce Lee just now and that reminded me of the old Bruce Lee game that everyone had back in the 8-bit days.

A good game, and me being me one of my favourite parts of it wasn't even an interactive part of the game, it was a big fat ox thing that sat atop decorative pillars in a few of the game levels.

Here is the BBC Micro version of the Bruce Lee ox. It has even less colour than the C64 one.

The ZX Spectrum version of the ox is a little less pixellated and a bit more rotund. A cuddlier ox.

If you were to play Bruce Lee on an early PC then the poor ox would look rather dejected on a monochrome screen.

The Apple 2's ox is somewhat shortened lengthwise, making it look a bit more rounded and plump than those of the c64 and Atari 8-bits.

There have been some remakes of the old Bruce Lee game over the years, and some of them have brought with them updated versions of the ox. Here is the ox from a ZX Spectrum enhanced version of the game.

Another modern remake brings us a much more detailed ox, with horns clearly delineated, facial expression more clearly visible and a swishy tail.

a stinky ox 🐂

Someone even made a Lego diorama of a Bruce Lee level, complete with a Lego ox.

One fail was an "Ultimate Bruce Lee" game which had THIS in it. Clearly NOT an ox.

@llamasoft_ox They did a pretty good job on the CPC version!
