@temptoetiam@octodon.social eh? our sheep with long tails hold them out away from their arse and wiggle them when they poop. They don't go all the way up like a goat's tail but they do successfully clear the arsehole.

It's more of a problem if a sheep gets the squitters and the tail gets all claggy and a docked tail is better in that case. But it's not true to say that sheep can't lift their tail out the way of their arsehole at all.
