One of the best things I’ve discovered in a long while is the Libby app and the OverDrive service. You can connect your local public library account and view your library’s digital catalogue and read the latest issues of magazines and loan e-books and audiobooks, all for free!
Definitely recommend checking it out if your library supports it. Cardiff Libraries have quite an extensive collection thankfully.
Kobo eReaders support OverDrive and Libby and, yes, Cardiff Libraries have an extensive collection
@TCMuffin yeah I have a Kobo Clara HD. I set that up with OverDrive now too.
I also see you can get access to PressReader with a Cardiff library card that lets you read all sorts of newspapers for free too.
This is wild! The Cardiff library card is so powerful. Absolutely everyone should be taking advantage of this service. It’s great.
Yes!
At our libraries in Ohio, there's also a streaming service called Kanopy, that is operated by #overdrive
"Kanopy is the best video streaming service for quality, thoughtful entertainment. Find movies, documentaries, foreign films, classic cinema, independent films ..."
Enjoy!
@FallsMom I guess it really is true that having fun is not hard when you’ve got a library card!
Exactly!
Here's an amazing library guy saying that these days, Mychal Threets!
