#today #BeetBear and I decided to see how the carrots we planted in April were doing. Not too bad as it turns out! These are a Chantenay-type called "Moonraker". I grow them in a pot because my garden soil is NOT good at producing decent carrots. These days I plant in a pot and let them get on with it all summer. Pictures show newly sprouted, mid-season, and harvest. The crop will provide many servings between now and winter. We pull them as needed.

@richrollgardener They look terrific! Will have to look for that type. How deep was the pot?
@Satori The pot is about 15 inches deep.
@richrollgardener That is awesome! I have a little bunny here who is very interested in this . The voles sometimes nibble her crop in the garden.
(She is dressed as a carrot here!)
@Satori Cutest carrot ever
