@suearcher :BlobCat_Melt: accepts cake, offers tea!

hello! how are you both?

@moonrabbit

*accepts tea*

Not bad thanks. Off on housesitting holiday tomorrow!

I gather that asking how you are is a bit of a formality, I'm sorry it's been shite recently.

@suearcher ooh lovely! enjoy. is this the same place, i.e., will the dog remember you?

i hope you have a most excellent time.

and thank you :Blobhaj_Heart:
swings and roundabouts. where the swings are broken and the roundabouts break your leg 😂

@moonrabbit

Yes, the same place. I think the dog will remember us, but I'm assuming we'll be back to square one in terms of getting him to trust us fully. That way, anything better is a nice surprise. The good thing is, I learned a few tricks last time to help, so I'm fore-armed a bit. We'll probably make copious use of cooked chicken bribes again....

That sounds a bit like those 1970's playground with the mile high slide, and everything set in concrete....

@suearcher when things were still fun! (not that i was alive but nvm) i do miss a good roundabout though. there was one at a playground i went to and then there wasn't, and i was sad. i think some girl broke her arm, but that's not what matters! 😂

and i hope it goes well. maybe he'll be happy to see you! the treat visitors 🍗 (because you bring treats! not be cause you are ...)

@moonrabbit

Honestly, there was a playground that we went to occasionally, I swear the slide was about two storeys high. And it was just a great long ladder to climb, and a metal slide. I think I'd be terrified of it now!

Apparently, most of the evasive stuff the dog did to us, he does to his owners too, if he's in that mood. Basically, he won't let anyone leash him, until he's ready, and he will just back away leading you round in circles. It's just a waiting game.

@suearcher goodness yes i remember the metal slides! i think i was terrified of them then too. they were very steep ...

bless him, poor love. anyway tbf i wouldn't want to go for a walk if i wasn't ready either!

for how long are you away in t'countryside?

@moonrabbit @suearcher
It was the umbrella, or witch's hat that scared me.
Once on it there was no way off until everyone else decided to get off. And even then you could be suspended high in the air if a couple of kids decided to stay sitting on the opposite edge!
Also jumping off when it was in motion was suicidal.

@suearcher @Maker_of_Things

right. wow. i'm sure i recognise something like the modern version though? such an interesting combination of fun and deadly 😂
