With ChatGPT 5 failing to count the number of b’s in “blueberry,”here’s my favorite AI prompt to ask. The information is very easy to find. Requires cross-referencing two small datasets then looking up stats from a well-known source. Plus, it’s a real question.

Model’s almost always fail. I suspect because it’s “niche” in the sense that there aren’t a thousand message boards and subreddits discussing the topic. They commonly list the wrong localities, and when they do get the correct ones, the unemployment rates are often off by a significant factor.

ChatGPT 5 said it couldn’t search for the data, and asked me to supply it so it could to the mental work. Like…. no, that isn’t the point.
