45 years ago today, (Week Ending) March 29, 1980, Bette Midler debuted on the Billboard AC chart at #47 with "The Rose". She went on to spend five weeks at #1. Also, leaped up ten notches to #76 on the Hot 100 and eventually peaked at #3 for three weeks there.

I’ve collected many 45RPM singles over many years, but this is one from my mom's collection that I inherited.

"Right Place, Wrong Time" is a song by American musician #DrJohn. It was the first single from his sixth album, #InTheRightPlace, and became his biggest hit single. During the summer of 1973, the song peaked at number nine on the U.S. #BillboardHot100. It is ranked as the 24th biggest hit of 1973. In Canada, the song reached number six. Some of the lines came from contributions by #BobDylan, #BetteMidler and #DougSahm.
