Hey all,

I just got a Cannon EOS 2000D/Canon EOS Rebel T7 DSLR for my birthday. It advertised Canon Connect to tirelessly send pictures to my phone. That's neat! But I don't want to give data to Canon if I don't have to.

Is there a 3rd party app for doing this that doesn't contact Canon? Preferably FOSS. Can be Android or Debian. I can try and get a Windows one to work through Proton too.

I love photographing local events I attend. This is what results in for instance the #liftlock #paddle event photo I posted recently.
The week before, I was attending a local farm & #foodfestival that I'd never been to and took a number of personal random photos.
I was asked after the event if the organizers could get copies because their official #photographer couldn't make it at the last minute, and this is the possibly unexciting result.
