This week's #WIPWednesday is me finishing the letters in the banner at the bottom of this #Hogwarts #crossstitch. Now I can concentrate on the coat of arms in the background and, later, on the backstitching.

I actually couch instead of backstitching. I find the lines go where I want them to go more than when I backstitch. If you've ever struggled with getting your thread to sit just right when you're doing the backstitching on a cross stitch project, try couching the strand of thread instead.

Let's see how much I can get done on this today.

I've been working on this #crossstitch on and off since September 30, 2023. It was meant to be a friend's Christmas gift last year, but turns out I miscalculated the number of stitches, and it is twice the amount of work I thought it was. It'll be her gift this year.

That means it's crunch time, now! Let's do this 💪🏻
