I did it! Although I didn't follow every day's prompt, I did make a collage a day for all of #februllage2025 this month. Here's one for the last day of the challenge, with the prompt "crown."

A paper collage for the prompt "crown." There's a woman cut out of a fashion magazine, with a plate behind her head, as well as a couple of tiny crowns floating above her head. In the background is some grass at the bottom, and some old newsprint and music notation at the top. In the corner is a fortune cookie fortune with the golden rule on it.

I haven't been following the #februllage2025 prompts very well the last few days, but I did on the 24th with “Drawing”. Here’s that one and today’s collage. One day left!

This paper collage is primarily made up of bold, colorful scraps of paper, mainly centered in the middle of the page. One scrap of red has some wording about X-ray machines, and a yellow scrap is a tag that says it’s a press pass for an indoor track event. The only non bold color, is the cut out of the tip of a thumb in black in white on the top of everything.

A paper collage for the prompt “Drawing.” There are some various tan scraps of paper from magazines with numbers or text on them. Nothing specific. Also a couple of scraps of mainly colored paper. On top of it all is a cut out of a little boy with blue and green crayons in his hands, and there are blue and green scribbles around the page.

I'm starting to lose a bit of steam with #februllage2025. These last couple for today and yesterday sort of fill the brief of "tapestry" and "vinyl," but I was traveling and didn't have as much time to spend on the collages. But, I've still kept it up every day!

A very hastily put together collage for the "tapestry" theme, with some random scraps of paper from various sources, including: a tapestry from an old auction catalog; a corner from a small calendar from 1955; a wrapper from a Japanese tea; and a curious man's head looking to the right.

A paper collage with a few scraps from a recent trip to visit my son. There's part of a Starbucks pastry bag, and a few pieces from tickets to the Roanoke Pinball museum. Then to make it count for Februllage, then a small scrap from the corner of a sleeve from a 45 RPM record advertising some other albums.

Today's #februllage2025 prompt was "old," and I think this qualifies, or is close enough. It'll have to do.

A paper collage with a small wooded scene with a couple of men dressed in clothing reminiscent of the late 1700s. There are also scraps of a painted tissue paper, some brown grocery bag, a painted hang tab from a cardboard package and a bit with some words from an old book.

Another silly and simple collage for today’s #febullage2025 prompt: “dive.”

Collage featuring a portion of a woman’s face from a fashion magazine, upside down, with her right eye cut out and a piece of paper with water on it in its place. A tiny diver is above the eye/water, and there are some other random scraps of paper on the page to add a bit of contrast to the piece, including some sky and clouds above the upside down face.

Paper collage on the back of a trading card. In the background are large graphic lettering from the covers of the Finish magazine NYRKKIPOSTI from the 1970s. On top of that is an image from the cover of the January 1972 issue of the same magazine. We can see two figures from the waist down, nude except for thigh-high knit socks of yellow and orange. Each woman holds a small bouquet of fake flowers (matching their socks) to cover their nakedness. Layered on top of them are two identical but mirrored images, taken from the September 27 1950 issue of the Australian magazine THE NEW IDEA, of tape dispensers from an ad for DUREX tape. Through the circles of the tape rolls we see eyes.

Today’s #febullage2025 prompt was “polaroid.” Don’t have an actual polaroid photo, so I’m faking it.

Paper collage with a city scene in the background, a cartoon-ish Frank Sinatra image, and a cut out polaroid-like square of paper laid over top of them both. A few other scraps of paper, one with writing and another with some faded lines, are also in the piece.
