We're all still learning! I love that you can (in principle) link all your image, blog etc accounts directly through the #fediverse. I like that the platform is in the control of people, not profit. I'm a huge fan of open source and the 'common wealth' which is directly enhanced by this sort of project.
Of course there are downsides to moving away from the most popular commercial platforns, but those will diminish over time ✊👌
